Last week, DECLÉOR Founder, Solange Dessimoulie had the pleasure of meeting and greeting some of the editors we’ve been talking with for quite some time about the brand, our Aromatherapy products and our natural skincare heritage. However, unlike past times, where we’ve met with editors at their offices to share details about innovative skincare ingredients our R&D scientists created or unveil new product launches, during the 3-hour luncheon at the MOMA‘s Modern, we talked about DECLÉOR’s early beginnings.
Working out of a garage in 1970′s Paris, the dynamic duo -Solange and Caroline Colliard- founded this iconic brand with energized passion and perseverence. Along with skincare and beauty tips only an expert can offer, Solange also talked about DECLÉOR‘s commitment to a sustainable development program in Madagascar, under the auspices of NGO ASMASDA. Since 2008, DECLÉOR has worked to plant over 100,000 trees, bring well water to the villages, build a school as well as build a solar electrification program in the Masindray Valley of Madagascar. Since nature is at the heart and soul of DECLÉOR, giving back to nature has been very near and dear to us.
During the lovely luncheon at the Modern, Solange chatted with editors of W Magazine, Marie Claire, Lucky, Departures, New York Times, Cosmopolitan, People, Daily Glow, Natural Health, Women’s Health, Prevention, SELF, SHAPE, More, Teen Vogue, SheKnows.com, People En Espanol, CBS Watch Magazine, Style.com, as well as a freelancer for Glamour and Women’s Health. Go glad to see Solange interact and engage with all these wonderful editors!
Celebrating it’s 38th year and under the umbrella of Shiseido Group, DECLÉOR is now available in over 80 countries and continues to grow. What a pleasure it was to have Solange visit with us from Paris and have editors meet the talent behind the brand! Nothing short of AMAZING!
